GENERAL SUMMARY

Responsible for scheduling, directing and implementing the daily functions for assigned department’s clinical areas. Responsible for the leadership and implementation of clinical duties. Utilizes critical thinking abilities in evaluation of care and the triage process of patients. Displays good rapport and professionalism with all customers. The Nursing Supervisor shall: Support and execute all clinic/department operations; adhere to all applicable state, federal, and local laws pertaining to an ambulatory care center, and monitor standards as established to meet all applicable accreditation guidelines.

RESPONSIBILITIES

· Serves as the designated on-call nursing supervisor, providing clinical, operational, and administrative leadership during assigned on-call periods. Responds promptly to staff inquiries, patient care concerns, urgent operational issues and facility emergencies.

· Evaluates and improves clinic flow; oversees the day-to-day clinic operations of designated clinics/departments.

· Collaborates with and provides administrative support to Mgr-Ambulatory Services and Sr. Dir-Ambulatory Services.

· Responsible for creating, evaluating, leading, and supervising role-specific duties for clinic/department staff.

· Participates in quality improvement projects, gathers and reports QI data and audits to the Sr. Director of Ambulatory Services, Manager-Ambulatory Services, and appropriate personnel. Submits other monthly or quarterly reports as assigned.

· Assists in the process for annual budget within responsible area; reviews budget with leadership; monitors compliance with budget; and assists in development of strategies to address budgetary variances.

· Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Position requires graduation from an accredited nursing program and two (2) years of related experience required. Work experience may NOT substitute for minimum requirement. A current Alabama RN license is required. Current CPR/BLS certification via the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.

Preferred qualifications: Graduation from an accredited BSN program. 2 years of supervisory/management experience is preferred. ACLS certification is preferred.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This role may require lifting up to 50 lbs.

The work location for this role is onsite.

PAY RATE

$62,732.80-$90,750.40 annually
