The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), Neurology Chair Office, is seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator II.

This position will be responsible for administering neuropsychological testing for multiple studies within the UAB Alzheimer's Disease Research Center. This includes test administration, scoring, performing quality checks, and data entry. As needed, this position will assist with study coordination, recruiting, consenting, preparing study visits, processing/labeling specimens, payment processing, and other study-related activities. All study activities will be conducted in accordance with the protocol, IRB regulations, and Good Clinical Practice (GCP). The mission of the UAB Alzheimer's Disease Center is to overcome Alzheimer's disease and related disorders by conducting, fostering, and enabling research at UAB and through national collaborations, by providing the highest level of care to patients and families, and by educating both professionals and the public about aging, dementia, and brain health. Our research is aimed at reducing Deep South disparities in Alzheimer's disease.

General Responsibilities

  • To serve as coordinator for studies and provide support to other team members within the confines of the protocol as directed.

  • To support screening and participant eligibility determination, working with more senior team members to ensure compliance.

  • To conduct activities in accordance with the protocol, regulations and Good Clinical Practice (GCP).

  • To assist with the study life cycle from start-up to closure, i.e., collecting and recording data, recruiting and performing follow-up with participants, scheduling visits and assisting in coordination of lab and fieldwork.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Annual Salary Range: $50,050 - $81,330

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related field and three (3) years of related experience required. Work experience may substitute for education requirement.

Preferences

  • A degree in Psychology or Psychometry is preferred.

  • The ideal candidate will have previous research experience with exceptional customer service skills.
