Description
To support the analysis, design, and implementation of information systems that meet user needs and align with organizational standards. To assist in gathering and documenting business requirements, supporting system implementations, and providing end-user support and training for academic and administrative systems
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assists in identifying and analyzing business needs and gathering requirements for academic and administrative systems.
- Helps translate user needs into basic system requirements.
- Supports the documentation of workflows, procedures, and system functionality to ensure consistent and maintainable operations.
- Assists with feasibility analysis by helping develop process flows and models for potential system solutions.
- Supports system implementation efforts, including participation in testing activities, documenting test results, and tracking issues.
- Assists in the preparation and maintenance of system documentation, including user guides, work aids, and standard operating procedures.
- Provides first-level support to end users by helping troubleshoot issues and escalating complex problems as needed.
- Assists with the development and delivery of training materials and sessions for faculty, staff, and students.
- Participates in maintaining training documentation and resources to support system adoption and effective use.
- Engages with users to gather feedback on system functionality and training effectiveness.
- Maintains awareness of system updates, departmental processes, and best practices related to supported applications.
- Participates in support processes, including on-call responsibilities as assigned, to assist with resolving system-related issues.
- Perform other duties as assigned
Salary Range: $50,050 - $81,330
Qualifications
Associates degree in a related field and two (2) years of relevant experience required. Work experience may substitute for education requirement.
Preferred Qualifications
- Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Project Management, or a related field.
- Experience supporting, implementing, or administering enterprise business applications, student information systems, ERP platforms, CRM systems, or other institution-wide software solutions.
- Demonstrated experience leading or coordinating technology-related projects, including requirements gathering, testing, implementation, and stakeholder communication.
- Experience documenting business processes, workflows, system requirements, and standard operating procedures.
- Knowledge of software development concepts, system integration methods, databases, APIs, software testing, and application lifecycle management.
- Experience working with software developers, vendors, business analysts, and business stakeholders to design and implement technology solutions.
- Experience using project management methodologies and tools such as Agile, Scrum, Azure DevOps, Jira, Microsoft Project, or similar platforms.
- Experience working in higher education, healthcare, or other complex organizations with diverse stakeholder groups.
Preferred Experience
Preference will be given to candidates with demonstrated professional experience in business systems analysis, project coordination, application support, or software development. Academic coursework, classroom projects, and internship experience alone may not be sufficient to meet the preferred qualifications.
