Position Summary
The Human Resources Staffing Specialist coordinates the full-cycle recruitment process under general supervision and in accordance with established policies, procedures, and applicable federal and state employment laws. This role partners with departments to understand staffing needs, develops effective sourcing strategies, screens and interviews candidates, and refers qualified applicants through the organization's online recruitment system. The position also maintains recruitment documentation and reporting metrics while providing guidance to departments throughout the hiring process. Additional responsibilities may include supporting temporary staffing, conducting new employee orientation, participating in career fairs, and assisting with special recruiting initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate the recruitment and employment process from requisition through candidate referrals.
Partner with hiring managers to understand workforce and staffing needs.
Develop and implement effective sourcing strategies to attract qualified candidates.
Screen applications, interview candidates, and assess qualifications.
Refer qualified candidates to hiring managers using the online applicant tracking system.
Maintain accurate recruitment documentation and reporting metrics.
Provide guidance and support to departments on recruiting and staffing matters.
Participate in recruiting events, including job fairs and networking opportunities.
Conduct new employee orientation as assigned.
Assist with hiring for temporary positions when needed.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in human resources or related fields.
Two (2) years of related human resources, recruiting, or staffing experience.
Work experience may not substitute for the required education.
No licensure or certification required.
