The University of Alabama System (UA System) invites applications for our role, Audit Risk and Compliance Operations Coordinator. This full-time, exempt position is based on-site in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, and reports directly to the Chief Audit and Compliance Officer. This role provides high-level, complex, diverse, and confidential administrative support to the Division of the Chief Audit and Compliance Officer, which includes the Internal Audit and Risk and Compliance departments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Office Operations
    • Manage daily office operations, including routing calls, mail, and visitors
    • Coordinate calendars, schedules, and logistics for meetings
    • Organize meetings, including preparation of materials and agendas
    • Manage leave time for the division
    • Processes reimbursement requests and pays invoices
    • Maintains and reconciles a business purchasing card in accordance with institutional policies
  • Executive and Board Committee Support
    • Provide direct administrative support for the Chief Audit and Compliance Officer as well as the Risk and Compliance and Internal Audit teams
    • Arrange travel itineraries and manage related logistics
    • Coordinate with Office of the Board of Trustees related to Board and committee meetings, including preparation of materials and agendas
    • Attend Board meetings and prepare official meeting minutes for Audit, Risk, and Compliance Committee
  • Reporting
    • Coordinates the consolidation and distribution of recurring reports, including quarterly and annual reports
    • Tracks reporting timelines and facilitates the collection of materials from internal contributors
    • Reviews submissions for completeness and formatting consistency prior to distribution
    • Maintains organized records of reports and supporting documentation
  • This position may be required to perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Five (5) years of progressively responsible administrative support experience
  • Experience providing complex office, administrative, and support duties with minimal supervision
  • Superior record of job attendance and the ability to maintain strict standards of confidentiality

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience in higher education
