Description
To administer Human Resources Partner related programs and projects for faculty, staff, and trainees within an assigned college/school/department/division/center/institute in coordination with the Office of Human Resources. To serve as the liaison to the Office of Human Resources and/or the Dean's office for most administrative human resources related transactional matters. To coordinate departmental human resources actions and ensure proper processing of paperwork. May supervise, lead, mentor, train and/or assign tasks to lower level HR support staff.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Organize and maintain personnel records
• Manage and preparing HR documents
• Update internal HR databases
• Manage bi-weekly payroll
• Complete salary reclassifications
• Assist with opening staff positions
• Enter ACT Documents
• Create regular reports and presentations on HR metrics
• Answer employees queries about HR-related issues
• Participate in HR projects
• Performs other duties as assigned.
Salary: $21.80 - $35.45
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a related field and three (3) years of related experience required. Work experience may substitute for education requirement.
Preferred Skills and Knowledge:
• Proven work experience as an HR Administrator, HR Administrative Assistant or relevant role.
• Experience with HR software, like HRIS or HRMS Computer literacy (MS Office applications, in particular)
• Thorough knowledge of labor laws
• Excellent organizational skills with an ability to prioritize important projects
• Strong phone, email, and in-person communication skills
• BS in Human Resources or relevant field
• Interpersonal skills
• Ability to multi-task
• Organizational skills
