Description
Under minimal supervision, coordinates administrative, personnel and logistical support for a defined department program (s), often of a large and/or complex nature. Carries out established program objectives and directives. Follows established guidelines or protocols. Determines the best approach to accomplish assignments. May participate in program planning and in setting program objectives. May supervise support staff. May act as a communication liaison and special events planner. Interfaces with outside resources such as volunteers, alumni, patients, other professionals in a defined field or with continuing education students. May be responsible for adherence to program budget and/or other fiscal duties. May assist with grant and contract preparation and submission. May handle data management.
This position will draft and review letter for the attending physicians & fellows. Review & edit clinical documents drafted by faculty, as requested. Collate changes for yearly review of the Residents Clinical Neonatology Manual. Prepare documents to include in manuals for publication & distribution. Editor of presentation including graphics, PowerPoint presentations, clinical presentations, hospital documents & other forms of clinical related writing. Assist Neonatology directors & faculty with grants, research manuscripts, & abstracts.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Designs, writes & edits technical and non-technical materials for the division. These include clinical documents as well as general communication documents. Produces the major documents developed by the division. Assist director & faculty with grant contract preparation & submission.
Reviews & edits clinical documents drafted by faculty of division. Serves as contact for division in working with communication Specialists, DOP, to ensure the division website is updated on a regular basis. Assist director & faculty with CVs and letters pertinent to grants, research, manuscripts & abstracts.
Assists with review, updates & edits of numerous manuals such as Resident’s Manual. Divisional Manual & other manuals, flyers & brochures for the division used internally as well as conferences, events & publications. Assist directors & faculty with graphs and tables for research posters and any other research related statistics for reappointment of continued research grants and endowment funds, etc.
Administrative support by maintaining minutes of various meetings & activities. Generating communication to physicians as needed. Provides support to department management & staff as needed with writing, editing, & publishing & design items. Assists with identifying and developing new research development research
Salary Range: $18.35 - $21.00
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a related field and one (1) year of related experience required. OR AN EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF RELEVANT EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE.
Preferred:
· Bachelor's degree in English or Literature
· Grants and Research experience
