Description
The University of Alabama at Birmingham UAB Temp Services is seeking a Curatorial Associate.
Responsibilities:
• Manage the book stacks for the Reynolds-Finley Historical Library
• Under the supervision of the Curator, repair damaged rare books.
• Assist Curator with tours and classes
• Produce reproductions of rare books and manuscripts for interlibrary loan and publications.
• Supervise researchers in the Reynolds-Finley Reading Room
Hourly Pay Rate: Range: $17-$20
M-F 8am - 5pm
Qualifications
Bachelors degree required, masters degree preferred, in English, History or related field Experience working in a historical collections library Familiarity with the history of the health sciences Knowledge of the proper care and handling of rare books
