Job Summary: The University of Alabama System Office in Tuscaloosa, AL is currently receiving applications for the position of Risk and Compliance Student Intern that will report to the Director of Risk and Compliance beginning in Fall 2026. This position supports the enterprise risk management and compliance functions. This role provides hands-on experience in higher education risk management, compliance, regulatory tracking, policy development, and institutional risk analysis.
REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program at UA.
- Must be registered for at least six (6) credit hours during Fall/Spring semesters.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING
- Assist in preparation of various reports and required documentation to support the functions of the Office of Risk and Compliance.
- Assist in maintaining an effective risk and compliance program by performing supporting activities that foster and maintain effective compliance across the System and its institutions.
- Support the Assistant Director of Compliance and the Risk Management Analyst in various functions supporting UA System's ERM initiative and the Systemwide compliance program.
NORMAL WORK SCHEDULE Monday - Friday, hours based on availability.

Note to applicant: It is a part-time position working at least 15 hours, but no more than 20 hours per week. This position is for the Fall 2026 semester and is renewable on a semester basis. This posting will remain open until filled.
