GRANTS ADMINISTRATOR II-HSOM

University of Alabama at Birmingham

The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) is seeking a GRANTS ADMINISTRATOR II - HSOM to prepare and submit fully populated and complete sponsored research proposals for an assigned department within the School of Medicine (SOM).

Key Roles & Responsibilities

  • To create grant budgets.

  • To prepare and submit documents to OSP.

  • To work in partnership with investigators to update and complete other support and bio-sketch documents.

  • To provide technical expertise and guidance to investigators in assigned area.

  • Will work with the research admin team to provide pre and post award to PI's.

  • Will aid in reviewing budgets, biosketches, other support documents, and monitor grant spending.

  • Work with faculty members, staff, trainees to submit federal, non-federal grants. Be the primary point of contact for OSP pre-award questions.

  • Assist in budgeting for grant submissions.

  • Setting up of subaward agreements.

  • Maintain Other Support documents for CVD faculty members.

  • Maintain calendar of deadlines, submissions, progress reports, award end dates.

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Work Characteristics

  • Pre and post award experience

  • Attention to detail, self-starter, initiative taking, ability to learn quickly

Salary Range: $52,555-$85,400

Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and three (3) years of related experience required.

  • Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.
