Position Summary:
Under general supervision, provides direct patient care activities to the highest degree of licensure. Partners with clinical staff and providers to maintain established standards and ensure delivery of high-quality patient care; as well as Health Informatics, Medical Records, and others to ensure patient documentation is complete, accurate, and follows all privacy/security and other regulatory requirements. Reviews physicians' orders for accuracy and authorization prior to implementing them. Prescribes and initiates nursing treatment through direct or assisted care.

• Ability to perform patient care as directed by a physician, nurse practitioner, or other qualified medical professional

• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of protected health information and follow FERPA/HIPAA regulations at all times
• Punctual and reliable. Skills include RX refills, assisting in minor procedures, in-person and telephone triage, IVs, and injections

Hourly Pay Range: $29.52 – $35.00

Minimum Requirements
• Associate's degree in Nursing required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirements.
• Currently licensed or eligible to be licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing is required.
• Must have a current CPR certification or obtain one within 30 days of hire date, and have used an electronic health record system in a previous learning or employed role.

Preferences
• 2-3 years of experience preferred.
