Responsible for administratively managing a large or complex University program or multiple programs. Provides input in the development of program plan and objectives with responsibility for achieving objectives within defined parameters. Typically supervises small staffs and are responsible for long range planning. Responsibilities include budgeting, networking/public relations, technical training and assistance, grant and report writing. May handle regulatory responsibilities, contract submissions and identify research funding. May handle event planning and oversight of construction projects.
The School of Health Professions, Research Collaborative, is currently recruiting a program manager to work in the National Center of Health, Physical Activity and Disability (NCHPAD) in the position of Program Manager II. The Program Manager II will assist NCHPAD's Associate Director and Director in managing the day-to-day operation of the Center's initiatives related to health promotion programs and strategic partnership. The role centers around NCHPAD's work in the areas of health promotion programs and activities. The position will work closely with the team leads of all specialty programs to ensure smooth program delivery and oversee all program deliverables. The position will also work closely with NCHPAD's Communication team, Participant Engagement Coordinator, and the Community Engagement team for program-related training, technical assistance, and communication and dissemination.
The Program Manager II will work closely with other program managers in NCHPAD to ensure that all aspects of the Center are well integrated and interactive. They will also facilitate communication to ensure that there is full engagement across NCHPAD members.
Key Duties Responsibilities:
1. Serves as the Program Manager for NCHPAD's specialty programs under Strategy 2, managing its day-to-day activities and operations.
2. Collaborates with NCHAPD Strategy 1 team and works with team leads across all specialty programs to ensure participant enrollment target and program milestones are met.
3. Supervises program team members and all logistics related to specialty program delivery and ensures instructor and coach capacity aligns with program demand.
4. Collaborates with NCHAPD Strategy 1 team to supervise program-specific data entry and ensure data quality based on established protocols.
5. Prepares, submits, and maintains multiple levels of documentation, including meeting minutes, training records, quarterly reports, and annual reports.
6. Supervise program implementation and drives continuous improvement of processes and operational efficiency.
7. Coordinates meetings and activities with program team members and consultants and deliver NCHPAD-related presentations as requested.
8. Establishes, maintains, and strengthens relationships with external partners and collaborators to support program growth and sustainability.
9. Assist with identifying opportunities for new health promotion program development and/or adaptations in alignment with the Center's deliverables.
10. Work closely with other NCHPAD program managers to promote integration and synergy across all Center initiatives.
11. Performs other duties as assigned.
Salary Range: $51,270 - $83,300
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a related field and five (5) years of related experience required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.
