INSTITUTIONAL RESEARCH ANALYST III

Description
The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) is seeking an INSTITUTIONAL RESEARCH ANALYST III to carefully design research studies, to develop highly advanced statistical models and predictive analytics to support strategic priorities of the University through continuous quality improvement (policy development, organizational enhancements, etc.).
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Using advanced quantitative methods, along with statistical and predictive modeling software, gathers data and designs feasible major research studies to support strategic priorities of the University through continuous quality improvement.
2. Develops recommendations and leads implementation of additional high quality data collection structures that can measure the success of initiatives and inform future research studies.
3. Shares findings, including key policy and other recommendations, to university stakeholders through informative presentations and summary reports.
4. Collaborates with Business Intelligence, as appropriate, to surface relevant data through dashboards, scorecards, and self-service reports.
5. Pursues external grant funding to expand analytical capabilities in these areas, including funding to support faculty and graduate student assistance.
6. Mentors and trains Institutional Research Analysts and student interns in developing high-level analytical skills.
7. Maintains the accuracy and integrity of Institutional data and oversees and ensures accurate and timely reporting for all Federal, State, and other mandatory and voluntary requirements.
8. Ensures that institutional research-related work is appropriately distributed amongst research analysts for timely completion and works with the Executive Director and others in IEA for adjustments.
9. Performs other duties as assigned.
(Annual Salary: $57,940 - $94,150)
Qualifications
Master's degree in Statistics or a related field and six (6) years of related experience required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.
