Position Summary:
The Department of Biostatistics is hiring a Program Director II to work with our Data Coordinating and Collaborative Research Unit (DATA CRU). The ideal candidate will have previous program management experience for multicenter clinical trials, including study startup, site and coordinator training, case report form development, reporting and regulatory documentation, logistics, and quality assurance.
General Responsibilities:
Directs operations of a programmatic function. Operates with a high degree of independence. Responsible for program development, content, and administration. Establishes program objectives, manages programmatic fiscal activities, supervises staff engaged in carrying out program activities, and may require grant writing and/or other abilities to secure program funding. Prepares various reports for the program.
Key Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Coordinating center team leader in developing drafts, and implementing the final versions of the data collection forms, data system rules, Standard Operating Procedures, Manual of Operations, and training and certification plans for clinical site personnel, and updates as necessary.
2. Managing the retention of project-specific documentation.
3. Develop and implement initial and ongoing training materials and activities for clinical site research coordinators that use various modes of training, including face-to-face training, over the phone, study teleconferences, self-studies, and train-the-trainer modules.
4. Coordinate training, site communication, and site monitoring needs of other organizational units of the clinical trial, primarily the Clinical Coordinating Center.
5. Lead Statistical and Data Coordinating Center (SDCC) team meetings with development of timelines for SDCC tasks and initialization of topic-specific conference calls with study leadership as needed to resolve logistical issues on time and ensure that the study is progressing in adherence with the protocol.
6. Represent the (SDCC) in regular progress report conference calls with the study Clinical Coordinating Center team.
7. Deliver data/protocol compliance problem-solving guidance to clinical sites on a case-by-case basis.
8. Performs other duties as assigned.
Salary Pay Range: $60,835 – $98,855
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in a related field and five (5) years of related experience required. Work experience may NOT substitute for the education requirement.
