  Position Summary
The University of Alabama at Birmingham, Urology Chair Office, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Researcher V to join their team.
- To be responsible for the overall operation of the lab and to oversee projects within the lab. 
- To contribute to the design, interpretation and writing of grant proposals and publications. 
- To supervise a research team, direct and teach lab practices and to manage lab equipment and supplies. 
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Conducting Basic Science Research. 
- Animal breeding, maintaining colonies, and performing surgeries. 
- Processing Human (Blood and Urine) samples. 
- Flow cytometry. 
- Proficient with data management and a variety of software (Microsoft Office, Prism, etc.). 
- Collecting data and interpreting data in accordance with established procedures. 
- Performing routine analyses and preparing reports in the prescribed format. 
- Aiding in the training of trainees and other research staff. 
- Writing and editing manuscripts and abstracts as needed. 
- Preparing data summaries using PowerPoint, etc. 
- Maintaining and ordering lab supplies as needed. 
- Perform other duties as assigned. 
Salary Range: $49,004.80 - $60,000
Qualifications
  Qualifications
Doctorate in a related field and one (1) year of related experience OR Master's degree in a related field and three (3) years of related experience OR Bachelor's degree in related field and five (5) years of related experience required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.

- Preferred degree in Biology, Chemistry, Immunology.
