Pay range: $70,425 - $114,440 / year

Job Description
To manage a defined portfolio of products and services as part of the overall contract portfolio for UAB Medicine. To negotiate agreements optimizing price, delivery and terms. To maintain relationships with vendors and contractors to ensure good, reliable sources of supply and information. To work with the resource utilization director and teams in an effort to select, implement and communicate contracts that support the needs of UAB Medicine. To monitor market trends and conditions to ensure that contract portfolio is benchmarked appropriately. To work with clinicians, physicians, and Health System affiliates to standardize and optimize across the system as appropriate.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
1. Manages a defined portfolio of products and/or services. Negotiates with vendors and contractors. Ensures all contract elements are compliant with State bid laws. Monitors contract performance against appropriate benchmark data.
2. Works with clinicians, physicians and Health System affiliates to understand needs, ensure compliance and maximize financial benefits of standardization across entities.
3. Works with various teams to understand clinical requirements for contracting.
4. Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  Qualifications - External
Bachelor’s degree in Business or a related field and five (5) years of related experience required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.
