Description
The University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Health Professions Research Collaborative is seeking a Researcher V to join its multidisciplinary team. This position will be primarily responsible for managing the Movement-to-Music (M2M) program, an evidence-based intervention developed through the Disability and Rehabilitation Research Projects grant funded by the National Institute of Disability, Independent Living, and Rehabilitation Research. The program will be implemented through the National Center on Health, Physical Activity and Disability (NCPHAD) under CDC Grant# NU27DD000022. The Researcher V will also support other research projects utilizing the M2M program as an intervention.
To be responsible for the overall operation of the lab and to oversee projects within the lab.
To contribute to the design, interpretation and writing of grant proposals and publications.
To supervise a research team, direct and teach lab practices and to manage lab equipment and supplies.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Assumes sole responsibility for implementing the M2M program as part of NCHPAD health promotion programming, managing daily operations and ensuring alignment with project goals, timelines, and deliverables.
Monitors results, detects and reports unusual outcomes, develops and implements modifications and provides reports or other consultations to management.
Contributes to the design, interpretation and writing of related grant proposals and publications. Supervises and oversees maintenance of needed equipment and supplies.
Uses advanced knowledge of research practices to direct and teach others by developing guidelines and conducting face-to-face/virtual training.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Salary Range: $49,004.80- $ 95,500

Doctorate in a related field and one (1) year of related experience OR Master's degree in a related field and three (3) years of related experience OR Bachelor's degree in related field and five (5) years of related experience required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.
