Description

The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) is seeking a HUMAN RESOURCES RECORDS & COMPLIANCE SPECIALIST II to document and maintain institutional or departmental records, often of a complex and confidential nature. To receive records, and to review and verify appropriateness of documentation. To retrieve and release information to third parties according to protocol. To research files for information and to solicit missing documents. To perform periodic file audits, and to generate and reconcile discrepancy reports. To answer inquiries of a sensitive nature from internal and external customers. To interpret policies and procedures and to resolve problems. To manage file retention. To complete and manage all personnel related documents for assigned organizations concentrating on critical deadlines affecting employee payroll.
RESPONSIBILTIES:
  • Daily in-office tasks on a computer that are repetitive in nature.
  • Requires availability for incoming calls into the HR Records Administration Department.
  • Requires exceptional customer service skills to support your customer base via phone, email or walk-ins
(Hourly Rate: $18.85 - $23.00)

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related field required. Work experience may substitute for education requirement.

  • Ability to learn quickly and problem solve issues that may arise
