INFORMATION SYSTEMS SPECIALIST I - (T230027)

Description

Supports department information systems requirements and objectives. Consults with system users and makes software and/or hardware recommendations. Installs and/or develops customized software as required. Provides training and documentation of software. Troubleshoots, maintains and repairs as necessary any department hardware and peripherals. May maintain department file server, i.e. back-ups, additions and deletion of users, etc.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Tier 1 Support Configure PC/Mac
  • Provide remote and on-site support
  • Troubleshoot hardware and software Assist with computer image creation
  • Configure and troubleshoot printer, copier, etc.
  • Maintain and support conference room equipment Proficient in Windows OS, Mac OS, smartphone, tablets
  • Comfortable in a heterogeneous networks environment
  • Consult with vendors on troubleshooting and solution

This is not a remote position. You will be required to work on-site in this role in Birmingham, AL.

Salary Range: $18.85 - $30.65

Qualifications

Associate's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field and one (1) year of related experience required. Work experience may substitute for education requirement.
