The University of Alabama at Birmingham Temp Service is seeking a Animal Laboratory Tech to work under close supervision and according to established policies and procedures, maintains animal colony and laboratory facilities in an orderly and sanitary condition. Administers special diets and drugs for experimental purposes as directed. Moves equipment and supplies in and around university departments, and performs laboratory housekeeping duties. High School Diploma or GED required.
Must be able to follow detailed instructions and maintain a high standard of cleanliness and care.
Strong interest in animal care and research support.
Ability to lift/move equipment and perform physically active duties throughout the day.
Willingness to learn and pursue AALAS certification
