Description

FOR USE BY IT AND HSIS ONLY: The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) is seeking a DATABASE ADMINISTRATOR-ENT to participate in the design, creation, and maintenance of computerized databases. To handle quality control and auditing of databases to ensure accurate and appropriate use of data. To work with management to develop database strategies to support enterprise needs. To consult with and advise users on access to various databases. To work directly with users to resolve data conflicts and inappropriate data usage. To direct the maintenance and use of corporate data dictionary. This position will commit to fostering an environment of heightened security following Information Technology Security Policies and participating in security training, such as Health Insurance Portability & Accountability Act (HIPAA) and Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), on an annual basis.

(Annual Salary: $73,945 - $120,165)

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or a related field and two (2) years of related experience required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.

Preferred Skills:
1. MS SQL Server Administration
2. Relational Database management + Azure Devops experience preferred
