Description
To manage the activities and day-to-day operations of a complex educational program, which may include clerkship, medical student, resident and/or fellowship programs. To manage the entire scope of the selection process, including developing and proposing selection criteria, prescreening, etc. To ensure compliance with all national and university-related accreditation requirements for the program. To oversee the maintenance of academic files for students, residents and/or fellows, including rotations, evaluations, curriculum and other critical documentation.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Oversees adherence to required program guidelines set forth by Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA) and university to ensure continued accreditation in head and neck oncology and microvascular reconstructive surgery.
- Coordinates process for accreditation site visits and prepares department for visits.
- Oversees recruiting, interviewing, and matching of the head and neck oncology and microvascular reconstructive surgery fellowship position through American Academy of Craniomaxillofacial Surgeons (AACMFS / MORS MATCH).
- Organize and schedule prospective fellow visits.
- Provides coordination and oversight of activities and events related to the advanced education program in the head and neck oncology and microvascular reconstructive surgery program.
- Supervises the scheduling of required educational activities, faculty lectures, visiting professors, departmental events and related meetings. maintenance of program files and records including trainee information and oversees the maintenance of program databases and websites.
- Prepare and submit reports to appropriate agencies such as American Dental Education Association (ADEA) and the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA).
- Administrative support for the fellowship director and 4 faculty members.

Annual Salary Range: $45,395 - $73,770
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a related field and three (3) years of related experience required. Work experience may only substitute for education requirement if experience is related to the design, delivery and evaluation of resident, medical student, fellowship or clerkship educational programs.
