Compensation:
Pay Range: $26.55 - $43.10 / hourly

Job Description:

General Responsibilities To provide direction for neurophysiology techs. To provide quality assessment and assurance to ensure accurate interpretation of tests performed and for program advancement. To administer neurodiagnostic testing and monitoring with minimal supervision. To assign work activities. To serve as a technical resource. Key Duties & Responsibilities

1. Delivers efficient testing services to inpatient and ambulatory patients. Performs neurodiagnostic testing and monitoring according to established protocol under minimal supervision. Annotates actively running EMU and LTM studies. Reviews EEG annotations with the epilepsy attending physician. Generates draft EEG and ECOG reports. Ensures the delivery of safe patient care and maintains a clean, operational and safe environment.

2. Responsible for all aspects of interviewing, training, and scheduling of technologists to meet patient and program needs. Provides direction to the technologists for the prioritization of testing to ensure patient safety. Assists in establishing policies and procedures according to established standards of practice. Serves as a technical resource for staff; provides technical support during ECOG procedures. Trains staff. Addresses technical issues as they arise.

3. Ensures accuracy of information entered in IMPACT and other information systems. Archives EMU and LTM EEG studies. Follows all applicable departmental and institutional policies and procedures related to billing.

4. Maintains adequate supplies and inventory of neurodiagnostic/EEG equipment and capital equipment for therapeutic procedures. Ensures the functionality of neurodiagnostic/EEG equipment.

5. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required and three (3) years of experience performing neurodiagnostic procedures. Licenses / Certifications / Registrations Credentialed as an Electroencephalographic (EEG) Technologist by the American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists (ABRET) or as a Certified Nerve Conduction Technologist (CNCT) by the American Board of Electrodiagnostic Medicine (ABEM) or as a Registered Nerve Conduction Studies Technologist (R.NCS.T.) by the American Association of Electrodiagnostic Technologists or other appropriate credential as required to maintain program certification by the Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC) obtained within twelve (12) months from date of hire into position required.
