Position Summary:
As a Researcher, you will play a key role in driving scientific discovery by independently leading and executing research projects. This professional-level position demands a high degree of expertise and judgement in designing studies, analyzing data, and may involve assistants in publishing findings. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, manage project timelines, and contribute to grant writing and securing funding for future research. Depending on the research focus, this position may involve research participant contact, research animal contact, and/or specimens.
The position will collect, record, maintain and analyze data and information, work independently and exercise judgment in applying protocols and procedures.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Devising and conducting experiments to support the overall research program in cell-culture based models and molecular biological analysis.
- Writing proposals, presentation, and manuscripts describing the results of cell-culture based models and molecular biological analysis.
- Oversees projects within the laboratory and assumes responsibility for the day-to-day operation of lab activities.
- Contributes significantly to the planning/design of studies.
- Monitors results, detects and reports unusual outcomes, develops modifications and provides data to management.
- Ensure compliance with applicable safety regulations; maintain all records and forms; and dispose of biohazardous wastes appropriately.
- Lab manager responsibilities, including ordering of supplies and maintenance of lab safety.
- Perform other duties as assigned
Salary Range: $50,050 - $70,000
Qualifications
Master's degree in a related field OR Bachelor's degree in related field and two (2) years of related experience OR Associate's degree in related field and four (4) years of related experience required or High School diploma or GED and six (6) years of related experience required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.
