PROGRAM COORDINATOR I (PART-TIME)
Disability Support Services (DSS) collaborates with UAB's community to ensure universal accessibility of campus programs and services, and activities. DSS serves as the university-appointed office responsible for providing resources, education and direct services to students, faculty, staff and administration. Essential to the larger mission of the university, DSS promotes accessible and universally designed environments, provides interactive programming to educate the campus community, and facilitates accommodations and services for students.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- In support of the DSS Program Coordinator II, the position will assist with general administrative office duties to include greeting guests, answering phones and/or emails, process received documentation, create Memos to Verify/Documentation for Standardized Testing, and serve as the primary assistant within the DSS Testing Center.
- In support of the Assistant Director, the position will utilize the DSS AIM database to process assignments and when appropriate, facilitate expedited registrations.
- In support of the Assistant Director of ADA Investigations, the position will assist as needed with the ADA Investigation Process and/ or support the creation and execution of training materials. Additionally, the position will be expected to assist the department with outreach events such as tabling for on campus events.
Hourly Wage: $20 per hour
Qualifications
High School diploma or GED and three (3) years of related experience required.
