Position Summary:
Under minimal supervision, coordinates career development programs targeted at HSOM faculty and departmental administrative leadership. This individual will also assist with administrative, personnel, and logistical processes, and recognition programs to support the Faculty Affairs Development office in the HSOM. This individual will utilize established guidelines and processes to carry out various program objectives and directives set by the HSOM Faculty Affairs Development Office.
They will participate in program planning and in setting new program objectives. They will interface with the members of the HSOM Faculty Affairs Development Office, and departmental staff, and faculty pertinent to the coordination of career development programs sponsored by the HSOM Faculty Affairs Development Office. May handle data management.
Responsible for administratively managing a University department under the general direction of a functional Program Director or under the auspices of a Program Advising Committee and according to an established program plan. May participate in the development of program objectives and is responsible for achieving objectives within defined parameters set by University and/or department policies and procedures or technical principles.
May require fiscal management of grants and other funds. May manage multiple programs. Requires the use of independent judgment to determine the best approach to accomplish objectives established in the program plan. May supervise staff as needed.
Duties and Responsibilities:
· Coordinates existing and develops new programs and workshops for faculty development:
- Promotion and Tenure Workshops/Training
- Continuing Chair Education
- Professionalism and Compliance
- Assistant Professor School
- Professor School
· Coordinates existing and develops new programs and workshops for faculty orientation and mentoring:
- Research Faculty Onboarding
- Clinical Faculty Orientation
- Mentoring Facilitator orientation/training
- Assistant Professor Mentoring
· Assists as needed:
- Awards and Recognition
- Tracking mentor-mentee progress
- Mentorship program
- Data management
- New program/workshop; will collaborate in curriculum development and coordination with HSOM and institutional leadership as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned
Salary Range: $43,890 - $71,320
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a related field and two (2) years of related experience required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.
