The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) O’Neal Comprehensive Cancer Center seeks an Administrative Project Associate. The ideal Administrative Project Associate candidate will have Prior administrative support experience. Ability to show independent judgement and initiative on highly sensitive and complex assignments. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment often under pressure while remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
The O'Neal Comprehensive Cancer Center is the only NCI-designated comprehensive cancer center in Alabama and in the Deep South region. A comprehensive designation also means UAB Medicine patients have access to leading-edge treatments or clinical trials that they may not otherwise have at local community hospitals or smaller cancer centers. For many, an NCI designation can hold the key to survival. On campus and around Birmingham, the O'Neal Cancer Center is a significant part of our economic powerhouse. The O'Neal Cancer Center powers more than 400 scientists and physician-scientists, cares for 20,000 patients annually, and is home to more than 160 employees, plus all the physicians and clinical staff engaged in cancer patient care. Key Duties and Responsibilities
· Provides high-level communications support with professionalism and confidentiality for the Associate Director for Administration with Center Members, UAB units and external entities including the NCI. Prepares materials for meetings.
· Provides Cancer Center Core Support Grant (CCSG) support at the direction of the Associate Director for Administration by collecting and assembling relevant information, organizing and sharing information as directed, and interfacing with CCSG unit leaders to assist in integration and organization.
· Provides asset tracking and reporting for the Center by tracking Cancer Center Space/Wallace Tumor Institute Building occupancy, creating the Cancer Center’s annual space report for UAB Asset Management, maintaining and tracking the Center’s equipment listing and providing complete annual reporting.
· Oversees P-Card and purchasing management for activities under the Associate Director for Administration.
· Delivers survey support by developing Qualtrics surveys for Cancer Center units and consulting with Center staff on survey design.
· Provides administrative support for clinical trial activity tracking and reporting at the direction of the Associate Director for Administration by tracking and reporting time to trial activation (TTA) and managing TTA meetings.
· Performs other duties as assigned
Hourly salary range: $22.90 - $37.25
Qualifications
High school diploma and five (5) years of related experience required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.
