CLINICAL COUNSELOR PLACEMENT COORDINATOR

Duties & Responsibilities
1. Distribute and manage student applications for clinicals
2. Conduct orientation for clinical students
3. Oversee student placement process
4. Manage contracts with clinical sites
5. Distribute and collect supervision contracts with site supervisors
6. Send site supervision training links (new CACREP standard)
7. Act as main contact for community partners
8. Support Program Admissions Process
9. Respond to questions from prospective students
10. Hold program QA sessions for prospective students
11. Scheduling admissions interview with applicants
12. Assist with initial screenings of applicants (in terms of GPA, GRE score, etc.) and create applicant spreadsheet to distribute to faculty
13. Communicating admissions decisions to applicants
14. Testing Coordination
15. Schedule/Order CPCE each semester and gather student scores
16. Submit names of eligible students for NCE exam twice per year
17. Primary contact for administrative tasks for UAB Community Counseling Clinic such as arranging for badge access for new clinic students, ordering supplies for clinic, contacting appropriate units on campus for maintenance, technical support, etc.
18. Managing program data and supporting CACREP accreditation work
19. Make data requests to IEA, Damien (for Taskstream), etc. for CACREP annual reports
20. Other duties as assigned during CACREP self-study process, site visit
21. Distribute graduating student exit surveys and collect data
22. Distribute annual surveys and collect data
23. Help coordinate advisory board meetings (biannual)
24. Perform other duties as assigned
Annual Salary Range: $43,890 - $71,320
Qualifications
Master's degree in Counseling or a related field and one (1) year of related experience is required. Work experience can NOT substitute for education requirement.
