Position Summary:
The Education Administrator will be responsible for overseeing the education and training of both fellows and residents, requiring an advanced skill set in program management, accreditation, and compliance.
To manage the activities and day-to-day operations of a complex educational program, which may include clerkship, medical student, resident and/or fellowship programs. To manage the entire scope of the selection process, including developing and proposing selection criteria, prescreening, etc. To ensure compliance with all national and university-related accreditation requirements for the program. To oversee the maintenance of academic files for students, residents and/or fellows, including rotations, evaluations, curriculum and other critical documentation.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Oversees the recruiting, interviewing and matching of medical students for residency positions and residents for fellowship positions through the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS).Supervises the scheduling of required educational activities, grand rounds, faculty lectures, visiting professors, departmental events and related meetings.
- Oversees medical student rotations and/or monthly call schedules for residents and fellows.
- Ensures completion of trainee and faculty evaluations for each rotation.
- Oversees the adherence to required program guidelines as set forth by national and university organizations to ensure continued accreditation in a specific area.
- Coordinates process for accreditation site visits and prepares department for the visit.
- Develops and implements program-level departmental policies and procedures and manages budgets, as pertains to the education program and curriculum.
- Perform other duties as assigned
Salary Range: $45,395 - $73,770
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a related field and three (3) years of related experience required. Work experience may only substitute for education requirement if experience is related to the design, delivery and evaluation of resident, medical student, fellowship or clerkship educational programs.
Preferred:
- Experience with residencies or fellowships
