The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), Department of Med - Nephrology, is seeking a Researcher II.

General Responsibilities

Under minimal supervision:

• To set up and perform routine and established lab procedures in support of lab goals.
• To collect, enter and summarize data.
• To monitor results and report unusual outcomes.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

1. Animal husbandry.
2. Mouse genotype.
3. Bench work (i.e RTPCR, Western blot, IHC, running assays).
4. Lab management.
5. Data analysis.
6. Performs other duties as assigned.

Hourly Salary Range $15.50 - $23.51

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field
• OR Associate's degree in a related field and two (2) years of related experience
• OR High School diploma or GED and four (4) years of related experience

Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.
