CLINICAL RESEARCH COORDINATOR I - (T219852)
Description
The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), Psych - Behavioral Neurobiology, is seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator I.
General Responsibilities
- To collect and record preliminary data for clinical research programs.
- To recruit and perform follow-up with research participants as protocols outline.
- To schedule visits according to research protocols.
- To assist in coordination of lab and fieldwork.
- To maintain familiarity with appropriate Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines and regulations.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Facilitate some training sessions according to research protocols.
- Assist in the coordination of lab, regulatory, and fieldwork.
- Communicate efficiently with collaborative institutions.
- Assist with developing protocols and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for data quality assurance.
- Performs general clerical duties (faxing, scanning, routing messages, coordinating the purchase of study supplies/materials).
- Assist in compiling, editing, and proofing written reports for both internal and external administrative offices.
- May perform data analysis using a variety of software packages.
- Performs other duties as assigned, including collaborating with other lab members.
Annual Salary Range: $43,890 - $71,320
Qualifications
High School diploma or GED required.
- BA/BS in public health or clinical care-related fields.
- At least two years of experience in the clinical trial field or equivalent clinical work experience.
- Previous experiences of coordinating federal grants.
- Ability to operate various office machines including printers, computers, and various software packages, like SPSS, excel, and word.
- Interpersonal skills

- Strong written and verbal communication skills
