CLINICAL RESEARCH COORDINATOR I - (T219852)

Description

The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), Psych - Behavioral Neurobiology, is seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator I.

General Responsibilities

  • To collect and record preliminary data for clinical research programs.
  • To recruit and perform follow-up with research participants as protocols outline.
  • To schedule visits according to research protocols.
  • To assist in coordination of lab and fieldwork.
  • To maintain familiarity with appropriate Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines and regulations.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Facilitate some training sessions according to research protocols.
  2. Assist in the coordination of lab, regulatory, and fieldwork.
  3. Communicate efficiently with collaborative institutions.
  4. Assist with developing protocols and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for data quality assurance.
  5. Performs general clerical duties (faxing, scanning, routing messages, coordinating the purchase of study supplies/materials).
  6. Assist in compiling, editing, and proofing written reports for both internal and external administrative offices.
  7. May perform data analysis using a variety of software packages.
  8. Performs other duties as assigned, including collaborating with other lab members.

Annual Salary Range: $43,890 - $71,320

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED required.

Preferences

  • BA/BS in public health or clinical care-related fields.
  • At least two years of experience in the clinical trial field or equivalent clinical work experience.
  • Previous experiences of coordinating federal grants.
  • Ability to operate various office machines including printers, computers, and various software packages, like SPSS, excel, and word.
