Compensation:
Pay Range: $15.50 - $19.50 / hour

Multiple Shifts Available:
UAB Medicine supports work/life balance. The shifts available for this unit are:
- Full-Time PM: 3 12-hour shifts per week
- Full-Time Weekend PM
- Part-Time Weekend AM and PM
Unit Details:
The Trauma Burn Intensive Care Unit is a 28-bed intensive care unit designed to provide critical care for patients suffering traumatic injury at Alabama’s only Level 1 Trauma Center, as verified by the American College of Surgeons. We provide specialized care for patients who are critically ill and at a higher risk for life-threatening health problems. Patients on this unit may have intra-abdominal injuries, orthopedic fractures, head, neck, or face injuries, blunt and penetrating injuries, chest trauma, pulmonary injuries, or need management of complex wounds. These types of injuries can be obtained from a variety of scenarios, such as motor vehicle collisions, falls, thermal, electrical, or chemical burns, or inhalation.

Job Description:
To assume responsibility for certain technical aspects of patient care as directed by the RN/LPN for the hospital. To obtain and record vitals, weight, inputs and outputs. To successfully complete an in-house PCT training program. To demonstrate an awareness of patient and personal safety.
Qualifications
High School diploma or GED required. Depending on the unit/department or if the position works directly with patients, Certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA) may be required or required to be obtained within 30 days of employment.
