GRANTS & CONTRACTS AWARD ANALYST

To review, approve, and process federal grant awards and to collect and review all post-award documentation. To ensure award quality assurance concerning data capture in the Integrated Research Administration Portal (IRAP) system.

Key Duties and Primary Responsibilities:

  • Collects and reviews all post-award documentation for federal grant awards, resulting in the complete award package being transmitted to Grants and Contracts Accounting
  • Reviews and approves award elements, verifies compliance approvals, and verifies that all terms
  • and conditions for each new award are updated in IRAP while providing a correct, detailed budgetary summary to data entry support staff for accurate input.
  • Manages detailed IRAP quality assurance processes for all processed awards to ensure reporting integrity
  • Creates and processes the completion of all Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Interagency
  • Personnel Agreement (IPA) proposals and awards. Reviews submissions and awards and provides
  • assistance with sponsor regulations and university policies as they relate to proposals and awards
  • Ensures proper grant award training documentation and provides assistance regarding budgets and award processing
  • Develops future award processes for non-federal award types such as industry, non-profit, state, and local
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Salary Range: $50,050 - $62,131.20

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business, Public Administration or a related field and four (4) years of related experience required. Work experience may substitute for education requirement.

Preferred Additional Qualifications:

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of IRAP system preferred
  • Basic knowledge of Federal Grants and Contracts preferred
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Ability to adapt to a new system while working in the present system
