PROGRAM MANAGER I

To serve as an Expert Inclusion Specialist for the National Center on Health, Physical Activity and Disability (NCHPAD) funded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). To respond to inquiries, including a range of content or resource questions received by NCHPAD via telephone, website, email, or personal contract. To conduct searches when necessary to answer inquiries, and catalog resources and information on physical activity, nutrition, and other wellness-related topics for people with disabilities and assist with updating NCHPAD directories. To serve as a health coach for NCHPAD health promotion programs. To serve as an advocate for people with disabilities and act as a direct liaison between NCHPAD and people with disability and their caregivers. The position will work closely with the NCHPAD Call Center, the Participant Engagement Coordinator, and the Community Engagement and Communication teams to facilitate participant communication and content development activities for the Center.

Key Duties and Primary Responsibilities:

  • Responds to inquiries made via the NCHPAD hotline, website, email, or other forms of contact
  • Conducts necessary searches to address inquiries and catalog resources and information on various topics related to health, wellness, and disability
  • Assists with updating NCHPAD directories
  • Serves as an advocate for people with disabilities and a direct liaison between NCHPAD and people with disabilities and their caregivers
  • Serves as a health coach for NCHPAD health promotion programs and helps participants walk through their wellness journey
  • Works with the Participant Engagement Coordinator, NCHPAD Call Center, and the Community Engagement team to strategize and implement participant communication activities across the Center
  • Works with the Communication team to develop content on various topics related to health, wellness, and disability
  • Adapts health and wellness programs through the GRAIDS process
  • Manages community partnerships with organizations or entities promoting inclusion in their activities
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Salary Range: $43,890-$71,320

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a related field and two (2) years of related experience required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.
