Position Summary:
Administers the logistical support for a University-wide program, which is often of a large and/or complex nature. May participate in developing program plans, objectives and directives. May supervise support staff. Acts as a communication liaison with outside resources. Plans and carries out special projects related to the success of the program. Responsible for adherence to program budget. May provide education and training to UAB community.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Process requisitions in both Oracle and HSF for the faculty in the division
- AMR faculty scheduling
- Assist faculty with CME attendance records
- Recording faculty expenses in the Item review file for reconciliation
- Noon Conference scheduling (recording attendance)
- Schedule meetings from within division or with other departments/divisions
- Order food for lunch during meetings or other events
- Order office supplies when needed
- Schedule conference rooms for meetings and other events
- Prepare conference rooms for meetings
- Handle lab coat cleanings and alterations with Medline Linen (Tuesdays)
- Put in work requests to maintenance as needed for the 4th fl. BDB
- Prepare lab coats for linen pickup
- Assist faculty with proofing documentation
- Support all faculty within the General Internal Medicine Division
- Perform other duties as assigned
Salary Range: $18.35 - $29.80
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a related field and one (1) year of related experience required. OR AN EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF RELEVANT EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE.
Preferred:
- Superior organization skills,
- Ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at all levels of the institution including study participants, physicians, medical staff and research staff.
- Possess excellent writing skills and have proficiency in the MS Office Suite.
