UAB Police and Public Safety department seeks an Electronic Specialist to install, maintain, and repair complex and/or specialized audio/visual and communication equipment and systems. Coordinate design layouts for facility or assist in construction planning of systems as needed.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

· Installs, troubleshoots, maintains, and repairs audio/visual systems.

· Plans audio/visual cable layouts for the facility to include design and equipment.

· Coordinates programming for disaster broadcasts.

· Trains staff on use of audio/visual systems.

· Provides monthly reports of service and project activities to upper management.

· Performs other duties as assigned.

Hourly Pay Range: $20.80 - $33.80

Qualifications

Associate's degree in a related field and one (1) year of related experience required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.
