The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) seeks a Research Financial Admin. This position serves as the primary administrative contact for one or more complex research, training programs and focuses on supporting the Trauma Division.
Position Summary
- To plan and provide logistical and administrative support for pre- and/or post-study related events with Principal Investigator (PI).
- To assist in the financial management of site studies and to participate in the development and execution of budgets and service agreements with other institutions and/or service providers.
- To prepare reports for funding agencies and to ensure timely submissions and compliance with appropriate agencies.
- To oversee collection and management of data in research activities including quality control and assurance of data integrity.
- To maintain knowledge of current trends and development of policies and procedures as well as standard operating procedures for research activities
Key Duties, Primary Responsibilities
- Facilitates the management, administration and coordination of one or more complex research and training programs under the direction of the investigator/s.
- Administers and provides oversight of grant program including program budget, marketing compliance and reporting.
- Assists in financial management of site studies and participates in development and execution of budget and service agreements with other institutions and/or service providers.
- Would also prepare reports with PI for funding agencies.
- Prepares, submits, and manages regulatory documents and ensures compliance as well as accurate and timely submissions with regulatory agencies.
- Maintains knowledge of current trends and development of policies and procedures for research activities.
- Maintains and ensures adherence to standard operating procedures.
- Manages collection of data in research activities including quality control and assurance of data integrity.
- May include clinical research activities.
- May also ensure accurate and timely Institutional Review Board for Human Use (IRB) submissions and compliance.
- Perform other duties as assigned
Annual Salary Range: $45,395 - $59,015-$73,770
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor's degree in a related field
- And three (3) years of related experience required.
- Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.
- Minimum hiring rate must meet the most current FLSA guidelines for salary level and basis to remain exempt.
