Description
The Mobile Health Clinical Manager serves as the clinical and operational leader for the Mobile Health Program, with primary responsibility for the delivery of pediatric and maternal health services to underserved populations. Operating with a high degree of independence under minimal supervision, this position is responsible for advancing program goals and objectives through strategic leadership, effective management of clinical operations, quality initiatives, and community partnerships. The Mobile Health Clinical Manager oversees day-to-day clinical operations, ensures compliance with clinical and regulatory standards, and is accountable for clinical performance, patient outcomes, and the effective coordination and delivery of mobile healthcare services. This position provides leadership for program planning, quality improvement, and the ongoing evaluation of services to support excellence in maternal and child health care delivery.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Direct and oversee the delivery of pediatric and maternal health services through the Mobile Health Program, ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care.
2. Manage all clinical and operational activities of the Mobile Health Program, including workflow design, patient flow, scheduling, service coordination, and implementation of program initiatives.
3. Provide operational and clinical leadership for Mobile Health Program activities through collaboration with nurse practitioners, nursing personnel, students, volunteers, and interdisciplinary partners engaged in the delivery of maternal and pediatric healthcare services.
4. Lead quality improvement and quality assurance initiatives designed to improve clinical outcomes, patient experience, operational effectiveness, and access to care.
5. Monitor compliance with applicable University, School of Nursing, state, federal, and regulatory requirements affecting patient care and mobile health operations.
6. Ensure appropriate staff, students, and volunteer orientation, training, competency validation, and adherence to program standards.
7. Collect, monitor, and evaluate program metrics and outcomes to support continuous quality improvement and achievement of program goals and objectives.
8. Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with schools, community organizations, healthcare providers, public health agencies, and other stakeholders to advance the mission of the Mobile Health Program.
9. Support strategic planning, program development, and expansion initiatives that improve access to maternal and pediatric healthcare services within the community.
10. Prepare reports, presentations, and operational updates for School of Nursing leadership, sponsors, and other stakeholders as requested.
11. Perform direct patient care as needed to support patient access and operational requirements.
12. Facilitate compliance with University, School of Nursing, sponsor, and program policies and procedures.
13. Perform other duties as assigned.
(Annual Salary: $63,875 - $103,800)
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Nursing and five (5) years of related experience required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement. Currently licensed or licensed by endorsement as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the Alabama Board of Nursing required.
Master's degree in Nursing, Public Health, Healthcare Administration or related field preferred.
Demonstrated experience in maternal-child health, pediatric care, community health, public health, or care of underserved populations. Strong organizational, communication, assessment, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Ability to operate independently while managing multiple priorities and stakeholders. Experience leading clinical programs, quality improvement initiatives, or community-based health services. Experience working within academic-practice partnerships. Experience managing mobile health, population health, or community outreach initiatives.
