Description
- Process biweekly payroll, non-recurring elements, and ACT documents, including hires, data changes, salary adjustments, and reclassifications, ensuring compliance with University policies and procedures.
- Maintain personnel records, filing systems, electronic files, and HR databases; ensure records comply with accreditation, University, and departmental requirements.
- Provide administrative support for staff and student hiring processes, including recruitment, onboarding, employment changes, departures, new hire paperwork, applicant tracking activities, and related data management.
- Oversee work-study, temporary, student assistant, GTA, GRA, trainee, and other student employment processes, including budgeting, tracking expenditures, assigning work, and supervising student employees as needed.
- Support faculty recruitment activities, including coordinating candidate visits, scheduling interviews, arranging hospitality and logistics, conducting School of Nursing tours, processing travel reimbursements, and maintaining related documentation.
- Process and track expenditures, travel reimbursements, supply orders, and other personnel-related transactions.
- Coordinate faculty and staff professional development opportunities in collaboration with the School of Nursing Staff Council and participate on committees and task forces as assigned.
- Create, maintain, and analyze HR-related databases, spreadsheets, reports, and budget summaries; compile data for annual reports and other operational reporting needs.
- Maintain compliance and credentialing information and provide ongoing personnel data management support for the School.
- Assist with correspondence, acknowledgment letters, and other personnel-related communications and documentation.
- Provide guidance regarding HR policies, procedures, and processes, and maintain current knowledge of applicable regulations and departmental practices.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a related field and one (1) year of related experience required three (3) years of related experience preferred. Work experience may substitute for education experience.
This individual must be able to work independently as well as with a team. To be successful in this role, an individual needs to be able to communicate well in both written and spoken language, be detail oriented, very organized, have strong analytical and time management skills, and possess developed diplomacy, leadership and interpersonal skills. A fluent working knowledge of Microsoft office products such as Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint, SharePoint, are needed to manage the work in this role.
