Description
To manage all administrative, logistical, and operational aspects of the UAB Women's Basketball program. To support the Head Coach and staff by ensuring the program runs efficiently on a daily basis, allowing coaches to focus on player development, recruiting, and team performance. To serve as the central organizer for all off-court operations and is a key problem-solver, communicator, and culture carrier within the program.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Manages day-to-day operations of the women's basketball program.
• Coordinates internal and external communication for the program.
• Serves as a liaison between the basketball program and athletic department units.
• Oversees office operations, including supplies, organization, and workflow.
• Monitors the program operating budget and expenses in collaboration with the prescribed budgetary parameters as set by the University and Athletics Department.
• Tracks expenses and ensures efficient use of program resources.
• Monitors operational spending related to travel, meals, and equipment.
• Manages travel itineraries and distributes detailed plans to staff and players.
• Coordinates all team travel including travel logistics for postseason tournaments.
• Assists with travel for staff, administrators, and special guests when needed.
• Ensures all travel aligns with budget and university policies.
• Maintains accurate compliance documentation in accordance with NCAA and UAB rules.
• Manages team calendar including practice, competition, and required activities.
• Oversees team logistics and serves as point of contact for visiting teams.
• Supports Head Coach and staff with special projects and operational needs.
• Assists with team events, community engagement, and alumni relations.
• Provides solutions and recommendations to improve efficiency within the program.
• Coordinates official and unofficial visits.
• Maintains recruiting documentation and ensures compliance with NCAA guidelines.
• Arranges travel for coaching staff recruiting trips.
• Helps create an organized and professional visit experience for prospective student-athletes.
• Maintains full knowledge and compliance with NCAA, conference, and university rules.
• Operates with a team-first mindset aligned with UAB Women's Basketball culture.
• Represents the program with integrity, energy, and professionalism.
• Reports all known NCAA violations in accordance with institutional, conference, and NCAA policies and guidelines
• Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a related field and two (2) years of related work experience required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.
