Description
The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), School of Health Professions Research Collaborative, is seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator I to join its multidisciplinary team. This position will serve as the primary coordinator for the MENTOR (Mindfulness, Exercise, and Nutrition to Optimize Resilience) program, implemented through the National Center on Health, Physical Activity and Disability (NCHPAD).
General Responsibilities
To serve as coordinator for studies and provide support to other team members within the confines of the protocol as directed.
To support screening and participant eligibility determination, working with more senior team members to ensure compliance.
To conduct activities in accordance with the protocol, regulations and Good Clinical Practice (GCP).
To assist with the study life cycle from start-up to closure, i.e., collecting and recording data, recruiting and performing follow-up with participants, scheduling visits and assisting in coordination of lab and fieldwork.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Coordinates day-to-day activities associated with the MENTOR program, including in-person and virtual program delivery.
Manages monthly participant enrollment processes, including transferring participant data from REDCap to NCHPAD's health promotion program platform for MENTOR cohorts.
Supports data collection, reporting, and documentation to ensure program compliance and accurate tracking of outcomes.
Coordinates onboarding and provides ongoing logistical support for instructors and health coaches delivering MENTOR content.
Provides technical support for the health promotion platform, including assisting team members with content development and uploads, and developing and refining workflows to support efficient program delivery.
Facilitates telehealth logistics for individual and group-based exercise and wellness sessions.
Works with the NCHPAD Strategy 1 and 2 Program Managers to coordinate recruitment efforts, meet enrollment targets, ensure the data collection process, and support successful program implementation.
Manages orders, storage, packing, shipping, and inventory tracking of all program equipment, supplies, and post-program materials.
Coordinates with the Strategy 1 Program Manager to review attendance data and post-program feedback.
Delivers health coaching sessions as needed to support program implementation.
Assists with partner outreach efforts and delivers presentations regarding NCHPAD programs.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Annual Salary Range: $43,890 - $71,320
Qualifications
High School diploma or GED required.
