Description
This role will focus on designing and maintaining Clinical Research Support Enterprise's (CReSt) database structures and data solutions to support operational and reporting needs, while also improving workflow efficiency through system configuration, automation, and process redesign. The position provides ongoing system maintenance, troubleshooting, and user support, and develops training materials and documentation to ensure effective staff use of CReSt tools and standardized processes. Additionally, the role serves as a liaison between CReSt staff and internal collaborators to gather requirements, communicate updates, and support adoption of systems and workflows.
To assist in the design, development and implementation of new computer programs including enterprise-level web applications and systems. To utilize modern HTML5+Javascript centered web computing, software development methodologies and object-oriented development methodologies to develop software applications and database systems (relational and NoSQL). To provide support using automated testing processes and version control systems. To provide support for the analysis, design, estimation, development, documentation, testing, and implementation of new applications. To provide maintenance and support for programs within existing systems.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• To design, develop, and maintain database structures and related data solutions to support CReSt operational and reporting needs.
• To evaluate and improve workflow efficiency through configuration, automation, and process redesign across CReSt systems and intake processes.
• To provide maintenance and functional support for CReSt systems and databases, including troubleshooting, user support, and coordination with technical resources as needed.
• To develop and deliver training, documentation, and user guidance to support staff utilization of CReSt systems, databases, and standardized processes.
• To serve as a liaison between CReSt staff and collaborators (e.g., PIs, divisions, departments) to gather requirements, communicate updates, and support adoption of tools and workflows.
• To support data management and governance efforts, including development of data definitions, validation checks, data quality monitoring, and access/use standards.
• To create and maintain interactive intake forms and structured data collection tools, ensuring alignment with downstream reporting, integration, and operational needs.
• To coordinate basic end-user device setup and application access needs in support of CReSt systems (in collaboration with IT support services)
• Perform other duties as assigned
Salary Range: $50,050 - $81,330
Qualifications
Associate's degree in a related field required and two (2) years of related experience required. Work experience may substitute for education requirement.
