Description
The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), SHP Research Collaborative, is seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator III to support NCHPAD. The Clinical Research Coordinator III will serve as the lead, providing oversight to ensure quality and regulatory compliance; work closely with the Participant Engagement Coordinator and program managers across NCHPAD strategies.
General Responsibilities
To serve as a lead coordinator by providing oversight to less experienced staff to ensure quality and regulatory compliance with clinical research operations.
To coordinate and manage the research study lifecycle from start-up through close-out.
To coordinate and conduct all applicable clinical and administrative activities required by the protocol such as screening, scheduling, consenting, assessing, ordering, collecting, documenting and shipping under the auspices of Good Clinical Practice (GCP).
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Manages all aspects of the research program, including recruitment and enrollment operations for NCHPAD Connect and health promotion programs, coordinating its day-to-day activities to ensure effective and efficient program implementation.
Coordinates with the Participant Engagement Coordinator, program managers across NCHPAD strategies, and the Communications team to achieve participant recruitment and enrollment milestones through various partnerships and community activities.
Coordinates with NCHPAD's Data Coordinating Center team and the Evaluation and Performance Measurement Team to facilitate management of all logistics related to quantitative and qualitative data collection, data management, and data analysis.
Supervises data entry and data quality assurance based on established protocols.
Prepares, submits, and maintains required documentation, including but not limited to IRB materials, training certificates, quarterly and annual reports, and partner enrollment reports.
Supervises protocol implementation and continued improvement of procedural efficiency.
Coordinates meetings and activities with external collaborators/partners and delivers NCHPAD-related presentations as requested.
Works closely with other program managers in NCHPAD to ensure all aspects of the Center are well-integrated and interactive.
Supervises the Participant Engagement Coordinator, who manages student employees under the NCHPAD Call Center and community engagement activities, and the Program Support Specialist, who manages the Healthie portal and the National Packing and Distribution Center.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Annual Salary Range: $60,835 - $98,855
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a related field and five (5) years of related experience required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement. Certified Clinical Research Coordinator (CCRC) or Certified Clinical Research Professional (CCRP) certification preferred.
