Position Summary
The University of Alabama at Birmingham, General Internal Med & Population Science, is seeking a skilled Researcher Associate to join their team. This position will be responsible for supporting the Program Director on day-to-day operations of the coordinating center and will maintain frequent contact with the field center, laboratory investigators, and staff for problem identification and resolution.
General Responsibilities
As a Researcher Associate, this intermediate-level position will require you to independently conduct more complex studies and analyses, contributing to the advancement of research projects. With greater autonomy, you will design experiments, interpret data, and collaborate with senior researchers to develop and refine research protocols. Your role may also include mentoring junior staff and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. Depending on the research focus, this position may involve research collaborator contact, research animal contact, and/or specimens.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Support study day-to-day operation, serve as the point of contact for problem solving, prepare study files and documents, contribute to study report, prepare IRB and relevant materials, conduct entry and mid-level data management and analysis.
Develop and maintain study publication platforms using state of art technology, generate monitoring and tracking reports, develop study communication and engagement platform and materials, maintain and update study Teams site, contribute to study QC activities.
Conduct literature search and review and contribute to study protocol development.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Hourly Range: $19.80- $ 32.15
Qualifications
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a related field OR Associate's degree in a related field and two (2) years of related experience OR High School diploma or GED and four (4) years of related experience required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.
Preferences
Oral and written communication.
Analytical thinking, task and time management, research coordination experience, attention to detail, qualitative and qualitative skills.
REDCap experience and experience using project management software.
