To work with and assist WBHM's Executive Director in identifying and cultivating potential major gift prospects for the station and its various initiatives. Will collaborate with WBHM's Membership Director on efforts. To promote the importance of philanthropy at WBHM to our listeners, donors, and businesses. To work as integral team member to facilitate successful fundraising Programs. This person will also provide direct assistance to WBHM's Community Support Director with FCC sponsorship language, proof reading of materials, and other sponsorship items as needed.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assists Executive Director with philanthropy communications, calendar, and logistics.
• Coordinates mailings and executes follow up phone calls, e-mails and visits to potential prospects.
• Assists Executive Director in cultivating relationships with potential prospects who are already WBHM donors or have high potential to support the station.
• Coordinates research on prospects including individuals, corporations and foundations identified by Executive Director, Membership Director, and Community Support Director as potential sources for philanthropic funds for WBHM.
• Assists with the creation, programming, and distribution of donor materials.
• Assists in identifying and marking materials for inclusion in prospect and project files and record keeping systems.
• Works with WBHM's Development team in appropriate areas to coordinate follow up activities with prospects.
• Prepares presentations and ensures integrity of data collected.

  Salary Range: $42,235 - $70,255
  

Bachelor's degree in Journalism, English, Media, Communication, General Studies, or a related field and Two (2) years of related work experience required. Work experience MAY substitute for education requirement.
