Description
This position will serve as a member of the Medical Education Information Services (MEIS) - Client Services Team, with a primary role of on-site support for events held in the Heersink School of Medicine's Active Learning Center and Lister Hill Library Computer Lab. Key responsibilities include providing timely A/V and computer assistance for the faculty, staff, and students in these spaces to ensure the success of classes and exams. Additionally, this position will assist the help desk with troubleshooting and resolving of basic issues and creating tickets as needed.
General Responsibilities: Installs department computer hardware and software programs. Performs preventive maintenance tasks, troubleshoots, repairs computer systems and peripheral equipment. Assists in some networking functions; provides support in day-to-day operations of local area networks. Provides data entry support and database management for the department. Works with other departments to solve networking and application issues that affect the users. This position will commit to fostering an environment of heightened security following Information Technology Security Policies and participating in security training, such as Health Insurance Portability & Accountability Act (HIPAA) and Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), on an annual basis. Perform other duties as assigned
Salary Range : $15.50 - $25.20
Qualifications
Associate's degree in Computer Science or a related field required. OR an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience.
