Description

The University of Alabama at Birmingham, Med - Infectious Diseases, is seeking a dedicated Clinical Research Recruiter to join their team. Responsibilities for this role will include screening and enrolling patients into clinical trials, as well as maintaining research records and CRFs.

General Responsibilities

  • To recruit, schedule and perform follow-up with research participants as protocols dictate.

  • To maintain current contact information for all past, present and potential study participants along with referring facilities.

  • To create and execute recruitment strategies based on needs of protocol.

  • May work evenings depending on study needs.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Collects and records preliminary data for clinical research programs, including pre-screening.

  2. Recruits and performs follow ups with research participants as protocols outline.

  3. Schedules visits according to research protocols.

  4. Assists in the development of ongoing recruitment initiatives, assessing data to ensure improved enrollment.

  5. Primary contact to study participants and liaison between study patient, investigator and staff.

  6. Provides thorough knowledge and updates to all participants and other staff personnel.

  7. Builds partnership with external and internal communities.

  8. Attends on-going in-house meetings and may act as representative at external meetings on behalf of MSD Unit.

  9. Performs other duties as assigned.

Hourly Range $15.00 -$24.40
