Description
The University of Alabama at Birmingham, Psych - Behavioral Neurobiology, is seeking a skilled Clinical Research Coordinator II to join their team.
General Responsibilities
To serve as coordinator for studies and provide support to other team members within the confines of the protocol as directed.
To support screening and participant eligibility determination, working with more senior team members to ensure compliance.
To conduct activities in accordance with the protocol, regulations and Good Clinical Practice (GCP).
To assist with the study life cycle from start-up to closure, i.e., collecting and recording data, recruiting and performing follow-up with participants, scheduling visits and assisting in coordination of lab and fieldwork.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Performs MRI scans for multiple neuroimaging research studies.
Manages and trains other research coordinators and delegates tasks.
Assists in coordinating research studies to include participant recruitment, retention, study visits, data collection and data entry under the Good Clinical Practice (GCP).
Adheres to protocols and procedures and complete trainings as required.
Coordinates multiple neuroimaging research studies some of which will be done independently and some alongside the other research lab coordinators.
Collaborates with other UAB entities including: Psychiatric Clinics, Clinical Research Unit, and Highlands Hospital MRI Center.
Assists with participant recruitment, retention and visit completion.
Carefully maintains detailed paper and computer records of study participation.
Consistently updates Principal Investigators on study progress.
Serves as a mentor and provides guidance to junior staff, including student assistants, in conjunction with the PI, delegates work evenly and ensure all tasks according to protocol get completed well and on time.
Adheres to and consistently familiarizes oneself with all study protocols, IRB policies and procedures, and HIPAA.
Completes all training required by UAB, the IRB, and or study sponsors.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Salary Range $50,050- $81,330

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in a related field and three (3) years of related experience required. Work experience may substitute for education requirement.
