Description

The University of Alabama at Birmingham, Cell, Developmental, & Integrative Biology, is seeking a dedicated Researcher I to join their team.

General Responsibilities

  • Under direct supervision, to perform various support functions in a research laboratory.

  • To maintain equipment, computer database and lab supplies.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  1. Clean glassware and autoclave.

  2. Pour agar plates of various sizes.

  3. Make reagents / solutions.

  4. Biohazards waste.

  5. Stocking lab supplies.

  6. Learn C. elegan genetics and experimental design to help with projects in the lab.

  7. Perform other duties as assigned.

Hourly Range: $15.00 - $19.66

Qualifications

Qualifications

Associate's degree in related field OR High School diploma or GED and two (2) years of related experience required. Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.

Preferences

  • Experience working in a laboratory preferred
