ADMINISTRATIVE SUPERVISOR

The Department Of Surgery/Gastrointestinal is requesting to fill an Administrative Supervisor position. The supervisor position is responsible for supervising a team of employees in the daily operation for the division, in which they support. This will include scheduling training for both the employees and physicians they support, ensuring productivity is achieved, addressing, auditing both internal/external activities for the division, ensuring that all performance, payroll, and staffing concerns are addressed and completed. Along with participation in budgetary activities, which can include contracts, grant, and general ledgers. The position is also responsible for interacting with internal and external clients/constituents.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
Supervises employees and operations in a designed area.
Responsible for employee training, auditing, product or service quality control, establishing productivity standards, performance issues, staffing, payroll and other matters associated with the productivity and operations of assigned area.
Handles confidential information and issues.
May have grant and budgetary responsibilities. S
upervises the work of, but does not perform, the same duties as subordinate personnel.
May have some administrative assistant duties and manage compliance/regulatory processes.
May act as a liaison to leadership and/or as human resources officer for department.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Work Characteristics
Previous supervisor/administrative experience in an medical office type environment preferred, but not required.
Ability to lead a team of administrative professional and handle multiple tasks in a fast pace environment.
Must have strong organizational and time management skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
Good communication skills, both written and verbal, ability to handle confidential information with discretion, positive attitude/behavior, with demonstrated flexibility.
Salary Range: $45,395 - $73,770
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor's degree in a related field and one (1) year of related experience required.
OR AN EQUIVALENT COMBINATION OF RELEVANT EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE.
